PROMOTING LOGICAL THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING
Thinking Feet’s main learning center is located in the Ballantyne area in Mecklenburg county in the Wingate University campus. We are just minutes away from nearby Blakeney, Weddington, Marvin, Waxhaw, Pineville, Wesley Chapel, Piper Glen and Fort Mill, SC.
Tuhin Dutt (founder) brings a passion for analytical thinking and creativity that led him to pioneer many innovations in the financial services industry. While in his Electrical Engineering undergrad, Tuhin designed a modular home security system that worked on a innovative concept of digital signal processing and was designed for the user to be able to expand sensors on their own with a lot of flexibility and ease.
More recently, Tuhin won the top prize in Charlotte's Big Data Hackathon in 2013.
At Thinking Feet, Tuhin hopes to generate passion and energy in young minds around logical problem solving, analytical thinking and unbridled creativity instilling in them the confidence to take on new challenges.
Tuhin has a Electrical Engineering undergrad from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and a MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.
Once upon a time (2013) in a land not so far away (Zip Code 28277), we started a 3rd grade Mathematics Enrichment Club at our neighborhood school, with the objective of supplementing school work with an enhanced curriculum intended to stretch the thinking of young minds.
Fast forward 6 months...
The club sweeps top 3 awards in the city-wide all 3rd grader Mathematics competition that year.
Club founders happy and thinking "Hmmm... this has potential."
Over Kung Pao Chicken and Moo Goo Gai Pan, an idea begins to take shape and a business plan is drafted which gets a reaction of "We can do this... but what do we name it?" Then commences the toughest decision we have had to make thus far - coming up with a name for our efforts.
Three months later... we decide to call ourselves THINKING FEET.
It symbolizes our primary focus of nurturing creative thinking and problem solving aptitude in young minds. Our curriculum and teaching methodologies are designed to enhance thought leadership in students so that they become better problem solvers of tomorrow.
Sep 2014: Thinking Feet starts with the first set of students covering Computer Programming and Mathematical Problem Solving.
We believe that nurturing the ability to think creatively and solve problems have multi-faceted benefits in a students' growth journey, no matter what discipline they choose to pursue later in life.
